Modesto City Schools is a Pre-K through 12th grade district, serving approximately 30,000 students. The District is one of the largest employers in Stanislaus County, with over 3,200 employees. It is divided into three divisions: Business Services, Educational Services and Human Resources. An Associate Superintendent oversees each division and a variety of programs, such as Early Childhood Education, Child Welfare & Attendance, Special Education, Nutrition Services and Transportation.

Modesto City Schools also offers an Induction Program with state approved curriculum by which new teachers attain their Professional Clear Credential. Recognizing that as educators, we are life-long learners, Modesto City Schools offers extensive staff development opportunities to all employees: managers, teachers and classified staff. We also strategically recruit, hire and retain the highest quality employees that reflect the diverse population of our schools and community.
